According to the beautiful actress, loving your skin colour is your only assurance and she is proud to be black.
Here is what she wrote on her official Instagram page @ realsusanpeters
“We are black and proud. We say no to bleached bodies. Love your skin color, that’s your assurance. If you are fair or yellow; that’s what God gave you but don’t bleach from black to white mbok. This is Nigeria. Black Women. We are made out of brown sugar, honey, cocoa, and gold. And the strength of ten thousand moons”.
The actress is indirectly throwing a jab at colleagues like Tonto Dikeh, Omotola Jalade and others who are known for using bleaching cream.
As a matter of fact, about 80% of all Nollywood actors use dangerous skin bleaching chemicals.
Some even go as far as bleaching to attract movie roles.
We must give kudos to the like of Mercy Johnson, Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Uche Jombo and others who do not alter their natural skin colour.
